Genie, ("Genie", "we" or "us") is committed to upholding the confidentiality of personal information and strives to collect, use and disclose personal information in a manner consistent with the laws and regulations of the countries in which it does business. Genie has established this Privacy Policy to inform you of the specific practices and guidelines that help ensure the security and confidentiality of your personal information.   • Genetic Information: Through your use of the services, you may submit a saliva or blood sample. DNA is then extracted from the sample at one of our partner labs and is converted to a machine-readable code (“DNA Data”) which is used to provide our whole-genome sequencing & analysis. DNA test kit code, year of birth, and sex may also be collected for activation purposes.


Genie takes reasonable steps to ensure that Personal Data Processed by Genie is limited to the Personal Data reasonably required in connection with the purposes set out in this Policy.



Information Automatically Collected

We automatically collect certain information when you visit, use or navigate the website. This information is primarily needed to maintain the security and operation of the website, and for our internal analytics and reporting purposes.



  • Linked Websites: The Genie Website may contain links to external websites. Genie does not maintain these sites and is not responsible for the privacy practices of sites that it does not operate. Please refer to the specific privacy statements posted on these sites.
  • Aggregate Data Collection: Genie tracks visits to our Websites and uses visitor logs to compile anonymous aggregate statistics. This aggregate information is collected sitewide, and includes anonymous website statistics. In addition, when you browse our Websites, our system automatically collects information such as your web request, Internet Protocol ("IP") address, browser type, browser language, domain names, referring and exit pages and URLs, platform type, pages viewed and the order of these page views, the amount of time spent on particular pages, the date and time of your request and one or more cookies that may uniquely identify your browser. During the periods noted above, Genie will restrict our Processing of your Personal Data to storage of, and maintain the security of, that data, except to the extent that the data need to be reviewed in connection with any legal claim or obligation.



Once the applicable period has ended, Genie will either:

  • Permanently Destroy or delete the relevant Personal Data;
  • Achieve your Personal Data so that it is beyond use; or
  • Anonymise the Relevant Personal Data.
